"LARGE BOUQUET"

"This large painting has been on my easel for several weeks now and I'm finally declaring victory, saying "It is done".
In the beginning this canvas was another oil painting that I had completed on March 13, 2010 . . . . 5 months to the day before Karl died. The painting, "Personal Reverie", never pleased me and I don't think Karl liked it either so it seemed fitting to paint over it. I covered the painting with Griffin titanium white alkyd paint and let it dry for a few days before starting this new painting. See the painting "Personal Reverie" below________________

Mornin' Nora, my what a transition from Personal Reverie where the lady appears to have gotten some bad news or is pondering a major life change to a beautiful bouquet of roses so full of life and hope. Like the caterpillar becoming the butterfly. Absolutely gorgeous one, Nora. Through your painting, I actually think I can see your smile.........:)

Good morning Nora. As artist, what pours out of us is directly related to what we're experiencing in life. These two examples are a perfect pair to show that fact. A lone woman sitting at a table of roses with no mate to join her. It has a dark sadness about it. Now WOW! Your joy is blossoming out of it's container! I'm so happy your heart found love again. You deserve such wonderful things in your life. This is an absolutely stunning painting! So full of light. You did a superb job my friend. Thanks for stopping by.
