Hi Nora, I'm a member of DPAG too. I love this painting. I'm just now visiting your site and love all your work. Especially your anniversary roses. Do you use the knife as well? Happy Painting, Judy
Hello Judy, Thank you for commenting on this painting. Yes, I do use the palette knife probably for 75% of a painting. But, I've just recently given myself permission to paint in a more abstract or impressionistic style after being a successful representational artist for twenty-two years. I have your website in "My Favorites" because I really like your work. Nora
Hi Nora, I LOVE your work, especially this recent loose style. I read what you wrote about your technique in the comments on your last post ... very interesting. I love the way you let some of the color drip down in certain places on this one. This painting is absolutely BEAUTIFUL ... the colors and the texture are gorgeous! Brava!
Karen, I commented earlier to you but apparently it didn't go through. I just bought the acrylic book: Acrylic Secrets, 300 techniques from Amazon. In my earlier post to you I told you how much I like your work and the trouble I'm having getting acrylics to behave the way I want them to. Do you have any tips for me? Nora
