"KARL KASTEN" by Artist, NORA KASTEN

"KARL, 2007"
Painting #929 of 1181   Oil on Linen  (16"x 20")  Completed May 18, 2007
"This painting was done from a photograph I took of Karl while we were visiting our four Freeport, Illinois, Snowbird friends.  I don't know where the painting is.  I just discovered the photo of it this summer while transferring the painting photos from old CDs to an external hard drive.
Oneness
I am one with God and my supply is abundantly provided.
Jesus taught unity with God: “As you, Father, are in me and I am in you, may they also be in us.” Many enlightened teachers have said that separation is an illusion. We are one with God, the Source of All.
In meditation, I become aware of my oneness with the unlimited Source. I gain a deeper understanding: As I am one with my Source, I have access to unlimited health, abundance, protection, and love. Unity teacher Emilie Cady wrote: “There is really no reason for jealousy or envy, for all persons are one and the same Spirit.”
I let go of thoughts of separation. Good flows to me and through me at all times. I experience God’s good in my life and my needs are abundantly met.

The glory that you have given me I have given them, so that they may be one, as we are one.—John 17:22

Painting #620 by Artist, NORA KASTEN

"FLORAL IN BRASS POT"

Painting #620 of 1181 paintings / Oil on Linen/ (30"x 24") September, 2000  SOLD

"This is the first painting up this morning as I'm scanning them now from old photos.  I Am so glad that I photographed right from the beginning (1987) of my years of painting.  I did not know how to use a computer yet. . . . . or a camera very well."  Karl and I were living in our beautiful home in Key Colony Beach, Florida when I did this painting.  My memories are so very good of that time in life and I'm truly them.   This summer of 2014 is especially good for me and I wish that to be also for everyone of you."

Below is from Unity's  "Daily Word"
Camaraderie               Saturday, July 26, 2014
The love of God is expressed through my friends.
One way the love of God expresses is through friendship. I feel valued and valuable as I connect with my friends. They deepen my experience of life, and our camaraderie is mutually supportive.
With encouraging words and supportive actions, we lift one another’s spirits. We share times of joy and adversity, growing together in friendship. We accept each other as we are and hold faith in positive outcomes for one another. We share a love that has no opposition, only respect, kindness, and a sense of ease.
As I encourage, reassure, or console a friend, I am expressing Divine Love and that love is expressed back to me.

All of you, have unity of spirit, sympathy, love for one another, a tender heart, and a humble mind.—1 Peter 3:8

"Day 31 of The Journey and 4150 miles on Trip-A odometer.
This was a day of viewing beautiful paintings.  The Indianapolis Museum of Art has an Andy Warhol exhibit now but I've already seen more of his work than I ever wanted so passed it up.  It was uplifting though to view the Museum's permanent collections and see again many of my old favorites.

I delivered two paintings to The Brown County Art Guild Gallery this afternoon and was so pleased with all the changes in the gallery.  All changes for good and the new Gallery Director, Jaime Sweany, is a Godsend.

The day just kept getting better as Brenda Kelly graciously opened her and husband Rick's beautiful Brown County home to myself and four other friends.  Their home is an authentic
Brown County log cabin.  They have enlarged and upgraded with all the amenities that make the cabin still a cabin with all the luxuries of our modern living.  Brenda did a spectacular job with the interior design and the Home & Garden magazines would love to do a cover story on it.  There are many antiques along with . . . . . . are you ready for this?  PAINTINGS, PAINTINGS, PAINTINGS.  BEAUTIFUL PAINTINGS!  Mr. & Mrs. Kelly are collectors of fine art and have been collecting many years.  I'm still pinching myself that I have been privileged to view their collection and I am most thankful."

The photos below are some of those I took with my IPhone in the Indianapolis  Museum of Art.  Obviously, I haven't mastered that camera but it's a start.

Artist NORA KASTEN'S Granddaughter, Macy Marie Simrell

"Macy Marie"
"Macy is my seventeen year old granddaughter and she plays softball for her Morristown, Indiana high school team.  She was one of the team's members to be chosen to attend  the Mid Hoosier Conference Sports Banquet that was held last night and she received a medal and certificate for being one of the outstanding (best) players in the conference."   . . . . isn't she cute!
