"Breakfast Fruit"
Painting #828 of 1181  Oil on Linen  (40"x 30")  Completed May 20, 2005

Today's message is from Abraham   /   Excerpted from the workshop: Philadelphia, PA on April 14, 1998
"You are on the leading edge of thought, taking thought beyond that which it has been before. Who cares what thoughts have led up to this. You're standing in the fresh now, and many of the thoughts that you vehemently oppose are the very thoughts that have given you the desire that has attracted the clarity of where you now stand. No matter how awful you think they might be, all were of value in the evolution forward. Every one of them.

Self-Portrait Slideshow by Artist, NORA KASTEN

"Aquarium Scene"
Painting #1101  Oil on Canvas   (6"x 6")  Completed December 26, 2009     Destroyed

"This is one of the paintings I termed at the time,"Modern Expressions".

Here is a slide show of all the self portraits I have done (37 of them).
"The Good, Bad & The Ugly"

Today's quote from Adam James
"The universe always responds to your beliefs. You always manifest what you believe. It doesn't need to be for your highest good, it doesn't need to be for anyone's highest good. If you (for some reason) firmly believe that killing a million people is your highest good, then the universe will assist you in doing this.
The universe doesn't judge. It simply responds to your beliefs. If the universe only manifested what was for everyone's highest good, the world would be perfect. The world isn't perfect. The universe responds to peoples beliefs and that's all there is to it. Everyone has free will.
Few people take conscious control of their beliefs. Those that do, become the masters of their universe.

Intending your highest good,

Adam James"

"HOLLYHOCKS AT GATE"
Painting #966 of 1181   Oil on Linen   (5"x6")  Painted in December, 2007    Destroyed

"At the end of 2007 I painted many smaller paintings to reach my goal of having completed 1000 paintings in twenty years.  I did reach my goal but ended up destroying many of those paintings. As I'm in the process of transferring all my painting photos from CDs to an external hard drive for the IMAC, it is really a joy to view these old paintings.

I'm most thankful that I took photos of my paintings right from the beginning.  The first storage or keeping records was me taking photos of each painting and putting them in an album.  The second method was storing them on floppy discs.  The third was to put them on CDs and now to the external hard drive.  I believe that I Am right and left brain thinking because I enjoy the record keeping along with the painting."

On Time
I go with the flow of time.
I live in an orderly universe where seasons change and new life emerges at the appointed time, where flowers bloom and apples ripen as designed and where I accomplish what is mine to do easily and naturally.
I need only look to nature for assurance that there is “a time for every matter under heaven.” In the summer, leaves do not rush to turn to gold and fruit does not hurry to fall from the tree. Nature is in concert with the rhythm of life.
Pacing myself, I willingly flow with life, and I find peace. I am not rushed. I meet my goals and maintain my health. I stay mindful of what is important to me and seek balance in all endeavors. With gratitude, I am fully present to this moment in time.
For he has appointed a time for every matter, and for every work.–Ecclesiastes 3:17

Inner Peace           (FROM UNITY'S "DAILY WORD")   JUNE 27, 2014

Divine peace calms my mind and lifts my spirit.

I declare peace in my life today by choosing peace-filled thoughts. If I have been dwelling on worries, regrets, or deadlines, I stop, take a breath, and imagine a tranquil scene. I see myself sitting by the ocean, taking a walk in the woods, or meditating in a quiet, sacred space. My body relaxes and any tension fades into nothingness.

I bless myself with these moments of peace, which lift my spirit, enhance my creativity, and focus my mind. Remaining attuned to divine peace, I am undisturbed in any circumstance. As peace emanates from within, I impart calm and composure to the situations of my life. My serenity spreads to others. Peace begets peace.
Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times in all ways. The Lord be with all of you.—2 Thessalonians 3:16

Comfort /I am never alone.       Saturday, June 14, 2014

The lights in the night sky remind me of my infinite connection with All That Is. As I allow my thoughts to turn away from the day’s events, I focus on the truth that I am one with God, one with all life. This brings me comfort. Gazing at the heavens filled with distant stars and planets, I see my life from a cosmic perspective. I feel my divine connection with these many little dots in the sky.
I am comforted by my powerful connection with Spirit and the knowledge that I am never alone. The lights of the heavens shine upon me. The wisdom of Spirit is my guide. The strength of Spirit is my support. The peace of Spirit lies deep within me. I am surrounded and enfolded in God’s ever-present love.
I, I am he who comforts you.—Isaiah 51:12

Wisdom
I see the world clearly from my heart and soul.
Tuesday, June 3, 2014

Wisdom is more than intellectual discernment or logic; it comes from the heart and soul. With wisdom, I look beyond appearances and perceive the divine potential inherent within every circumstance and every person, including myself.
Through my prayer practice, I develop and strengthen my ability to make wise choices. I connect with Source and open my heart and mind to possibilities I did not recognize before. A daily connection with my divine nature helps me listen deeply, see clearly, choose wisely, and advance joyfully. From within the sweet silence of prayer, new possibilities arise and my capacity for wise discernment grows.

You desire truth in the inward being; therefore teach me wisdom in my secret heart.—Psalm 51:6

Inspiration
Divinely inspired, I create a wonderful life.
Wednesday, May 28, 2014

I cherish my capacity to receive inspiration from Spirit, to create and use the power of my thoughts, words, and actions to manifest my good in the world.
At the center of my being is an all-knowing guide. This divine source contains the ideas and answers I need to create a wonderful life. My job is to design that life and call on the wisdom of divine guidance to create it in the physical world.
Through prayer, I ask Spirit to show me the way. I listen carefully and discern what is mine to do. I trust my intuition and realize I am here to live in happiness and joy. I deserve to be inspired by Spirit. I deserve to have a beautiful life.

O you who dwell in the gardens, my companions are listening for your voice; let me hear it.—Song of Solomon 8:13

COMFORT
I rest in Spirit, and I am comforted.
Life is unpredictable, and sometimes, I may feel frustrated or disappointed by unexpected events. I may feel hurt by the words or actions of others, or fearful due to an accident or illness. Yet through it all, I count on the love and comfort of Spirit.
I am empowered by the spirit of God within, giving me courage and wisdom to brave any hardship. I hone in on what is working well in my life, while facing challenges with strength. I know that even the most difficult situations bring blessings.
I rest in the comfort of Spirit, listening for guidance and finding the answers I seek. I am reassured, soothed, and consoled. Peace fills my soul.
For I, the Lord your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, “Do not fear, I will help you.”—Isaiah 41:13

AFFIRMATION
I affirm the absolute good of God.
The words I speak and write carry energy and power, so I choose them with care and clear purpose. When I speak words that express Truth, I set in motion the energy of prayer. My chosen words are sacred. What I send into the world returns to me multiplied.
I boldly declare my good, speaking in life-affirming ways about myself and others. I live an empowered life of confidence and optimism. God is the only power at work within my mind, soul, and body, and this power is invincible.
My affirmations demonstrate my faith in the absolute good of God. I speak with certainty, clarity, and positive expectation.
So shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose.—Isaiah

CONSCIOUSNESS
I see the dawn of a new day.
My life is a reflection of my consciousness. If I am feeling unhappy with my circumstances, I don’t linger in disappointment or discouragement, but rather I rejoice in the discovery that I can change my life by shifting my consciousness. If I don’t like the film that is playing, I can change the reel!
To shift my consciousness, I examine my beliefs. Do I believe I am deserving and loved? Do I believe I am one with God? I discard any unsupportive self-talk and affirm: I deserve all the good God has for me. I am whole, confident, and strong through the power of God within me. I repeat this practice until my consciousness shifts and I see the dawn of a new day.
I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ … may give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation as you come to know him.—Ephesians 1:17

PERCEPTION
Behind all of life, I perceive Infinite Love.
Our physical senses allow us to perceive the world from a certain perspective. Yet as we expand our view spiritually, we perceive so much more. We open ourselves to a consciousness of Oneness—harmony and connectedness that radiates through everything and everyone.
With our thoughts on the Divine, we attune to the Infinite Love behind all life. This radiant energy is present in every circumstance and in every person, even if it is not readily seen or heard. Evaluating life only through the filter of our physical senses, we might perceive discord or lack. Yet when we look at our lives with our hearts and minds on Spirit, evidence of the Divine is unmistakable.
Whoever is from God hears the words of God.—John 8:47

JOY
Gratitude brings me joy!
According to the Law of Increase, what I focus on multiplies. Knowing this, I refrain from dwelling on my challenges and struggles. I choose instead to center my thoughts on what brings me happiness—my friends and family, beloved pets, satisfying work and interests, the beauty of nature, and so much more. As I appreciate the blessings in my life, they multiply abundantly.
I joyously and continuously give thanks for my ever-increasing good and stand in awe of the activity of God. As I dwell in the energy of gratitude, its radiance expands within me, blessing not only myself, but also those around me.

You have multiplied the nation, you have increased its joy; they rejoice before you as with joy at the harvest.—Isaiah 9:3

JOY
The Universe celebrates itself through me.
If ever I question my purpose in life, I may find the answer in knowing that life is a purpose unto itself. I am alive, I am living, and that is enough.
My life is an expression of the Divine. I am divine consciousness manifested in human form, capable of sensing, perceiving, and expressing. Through my senses I perceive creation. Through my feelings and actions I express love, drawing good into my life and the lives of others. With joy, I cele-brate the miracle of life!
The Universe celebrates itself through me. I am its instrument of expression. It sings itself into my soul: “You are alive, whole, and loved!” By saying yes to life, I joyfully celebrate God’s greatest gift—Life itself.
He will yet fill your mouth with laughter, and your lips with shouts of joy.—Job 8:21

REASSURANCE
Centered in the power of prayer, I triumph!
In the story of the Resurrection, Thomas required tangible proof that the man standing in front of him was indeed Jesus resurrected from the dead. Jesus said, “Reach out your hand … Do not doubt, but believe.”
If an answer to prayer eludes me or I expect a certain outcome that is not forthcoming, I, too, may look for tangible evidence. If I become unyielding, I could miss the blessings right in front of me.
To dispel any doubt, I recall instances in which I kept the faith—even when unfolding good was not yet visible. Recalling these past triumphs reassures me to trust that good is always unfolding. I declare myself a faith-filled believer. I overcome any false appearances and trust only in the Divine.
He said to Thomas, “Put your finger here and see my hands … Do not doubt, but believe.”—John 20:27

INNER PEACE
I am at peace in this present moment.
In our fast-paced lives, finding inner peace requires intention and practice. As I focus on the present moment and all that it holds, I release any hurry or anxiety. I let go of past concerns and future expectations. Centered in this now moment, I discover inner peace.
I may experience peace as a feeling of serenity, a state of harmony, or a deep trust that all is well. Knowing God is with and within me, as close as my very breath, I feel the assuring presence of peace.
My spiritual practices—prayer, meditation, and contemplation—help me maintain a consciousness of peace. In the midst of any rush or confusion, I center on the presence of peace in the present moment, and all is well.
The peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts.–Philippians 4:7

LET GO,LET GOD
I boldly let go and trust in God.
Holding on to the familiar may feel more comfortable than facing the unknown. Change can be frightening. Yet as I look back at my life, my breakthroughs have occurred when I was willing to let go of the usual routine, accept any temporary discomfort of change, and try something new.
With this in mind, I now set aside any anxiety about a potential change and trust in God. I let go of others’ expectations and follow my inner calling. I let go of the way things have always been and let God lead the way to something new. Releasing any fear of the unknown, I step out in faith.
I boldly let go and let God and see my life unfold in new and exciting ways.
Make me to know your ways, O Lord; teach me your paths.—Psalm 25:4

TRUE NORTH
Spirit is my guide.
Even the best compass does not point to true north. Similarly, I know that directions and advice from the outside world can never replace true guidance from within.
I follow my internal compass. As I pray and meditate, the path to my highest good becomes clear. Spirit reveals a divine idea, which may inspire my next task or goal. I then move forward with clarity and assurance. My steps are confident, my faith is strong, and my determination, unwavering. Nothing can stop me from achieving my divine purpose.
Spirit is my guide, motivating every action and leading me to my true north—an authentic and fulfilling life.
When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth.—John 16:13

BOUNDLESS
I grow boundlessly in Christ Consciousness.
As a spiritual being, I am not bound by the past. Every day is a new beginning. Each new year brings boundless opportunities for growing in Christ Consciousness as I deepen my relationship with God.
I gratefully release the past, appreciating all that contributed to my current spiritual awareness. With expectancy, I turn my thoughts to the riches of the coming year.
I aspire to live a Christ-centered life. Whatever my possessions or social status, my wealth is found in kindness, forgiveness, and wholeness. I seek first the kingdom of God, and I am enfolded in boundless Christ Love. With heart and mind open, I give and receive boundless riches in the coming new year!
This grace was given to me to bring to the Gentiles the news of the boundless riches of Christ. —Ephesians 3:8

"Roses" & New Home for Artist, NORA KASTEN

"ROSES"
Painting #891 of 1180 paintings   Oil on linen  (24"x20")    painted July, 2006      SOLD

"Yesterday, I purchased a house at Grasmere At Wyndemere here in Naples and the closing is two weeks from tomorrow, September 23, 2013.  This condo I bought a year ago is just fine but I have always felt it was temporary.  Now, I am so looking forward to moving into a nice home again."

From The Daily Word at Unity

My highest good is always unfolding.

Circumstances change. Plans get interrupted. Life takes unexpected turns. Even so, I remain calm and unshaken as I stand on the solid ground of faith, knowing that my highest good is unfolding.

Beneath every outer change is the unchanging Truth of God—stable, unvarying, consistent. In God, nothing is ever lost. In God, there is enough power and strength to meet any life experience. In God, I know I am not alone. I maintain the courage and will to embrace all that life offers.

As conditions change, I am flexible, moving through times of transformation with ease and grace. I expect the manifestation of my highest good, and I embrace whatever form it may take.

Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change.—Psalm 46:2
